Robert "Bob" Emmett Goff Sr., 77, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Mentor. Bob was born July 27, 1940 in Cleveland and was a loving husband and father. Bob and his wife Mary Ann were married on July 17, 1965 in Cleveland.

Bob is a graduate of Collinwood High School (1958), John Carroll University (1964) and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (1968). He was an attorney for nearly 50 years, having practiced corporate law and as a litigator in private practice. Bob was sworn into The Supreme Court of Ohio and The Supreme Court of the United States.

Survivors include his devoted wife of nearly 53 years, Mary Ann (nee Whalen) Goff; children, Laura A. Uveges (Michael), Rita M. Ryan (David), Mary Ann Hever (Thomas), Robert E. Goff, Jr. (Amy), and Patrick J. Goff (Aisling); 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Bob in death were his parents, John P. Goff and Marguerite K. Goff; and his siblings, John "Buddy" Goff, Margaret Diamond, and Jeanne Cirelli. Bob will be remembered fondly for his love of family, his strong faith, his generosity, his sense of humor, and his love of music.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, OH 44060 (please meet at the church).

Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
