Matilda M. (Bolek) Boyd, age 91 of Concord Twp. and formerly of Euclid, passed away July 28, 2017 at Northfield Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northfield. She was born October 23, 1925 in Cleveland.

Mrs. Boyd had worked in the payroll department at the former Euclid Road Machinery following high school. After starting a family she became a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing golf, traveling and playing cards. Mrs. Boyd graduated from Euclid Central High School in 1945. She had been a member of St. Gabriel Church, having served on the mission circle at the church, and she was a former member of St. Christine's Church in Euclid, as well as being in the Ladies Guild. She also was a member of the Euclid Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, Christ Child Society and Card Club. Mrs. Boyd has also volunteered for over 25 years at various organizations, including the St. Christine's school library, Lake East hospital, Lake Health Mentor Campus Cancer Center and the St. Gabriel Food Pantry.

Survivors include her daughters Marcia (Bruce) Clark and Donna (Dennis) Lyle; grandchildren Ryan (Sarah) Clark, Lindsay (Ray) Hickey, Jennifer (Kris) Van Zandt, Allison Lyle, Amanda (Jim) Boyd, Brenda Boyd, Donald (Aimee) Boyd, Christopher Boyd and brother John Gerald (Connie) Bolek; great grandchildren Addison Schmeltzer & Eleanor Clark, Kaitlyn & Andrew Van Zandt, Caden & Jordin Bott and Brendan & Conor Hickey. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Boyd; parents John and Matilda Bolek and son David Boyd.

A funeral mass will be held 10 am Monday August 7, 2017 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp., OH 44060.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 pm Sunday August 6, 2017 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, Sancta Clara Monastery, 4200 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44714-1236 or to the St. Gabriel Food Pantry.
