Marjorie J. (Melrose) Wilde, age 90, of Aurora, a long time Mentor resident, died Saturday, February 18 at Kensington at Anna Maria of Aurora. She was born February 1, 1927 in Cleveland.

Mrs. Wilde was a graduate of Orange Village High School and attended Kent State University. She was a homemaker extraordinaire. She was a Charter Member of the Brentmoor Garden Club and member of the Mentor United Methodist Church. Her creative hobbies were many: sewing, flower gardening and arranging, cooking, piano, and miniatures. She was a voracious reader and loved to learn. Boating on Lake Erie in their sailboat "Windsong" filled her and Bill's many summers.

Survivors to cherish her memory include her children: Jeffrey (Terri) Wilde, Debra (Ante) Kardum and Lorraine (Stanley) Fleshman, 6 loving Grandchildren: Benjamin (Olivia) Wilde, Monika (John) Sisa, Andrew (Katie) Kardum, Anthony (Samantha) Kardum, Melanie Kardum and Jennifer (Cory) Kovach, 9 cherished Great-grandchildren: Alan, William, Liam, Mia, Remi, Evan, Hudson, Grant and Caleb and loyal cousin Larry Hill. Marjorie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years William (Bill) W. Wilde; parents: Harold and Amolia Melrose and brother Walter Melrose.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, February 22 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 22 at the funeral home. Reverend Quincy Wheeler of Mentor United Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.
