Kevin D. Fielding, 79, died Friday, March 10, 2017. Born July 29, 1937, he was the son of the late Reginald and Frances (Rockey) Fielding. Kevin leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Sheila (Edwards) Fielding. He was the beloved father of Kevin T. (deceased), Karen and Dave Nejedlik, Julie Fielding (Deron Sohngen), Jennifer and Jeffrey Theis, and "adopted" daughter Nancy DiMarino. He was adored papa of Olivia and Isabelle Nejedlik; Tess, Jamie, Kevin and Madeline Sohngen; and Delaney and Quinn Theis.

He was predeceased by siblings, Beatrice Benford, David, William and Denis Fielding. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Thomas K. Edwards. He was the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Kevin graduated from Euclid High School in 1955 and retired from TRW in 1993 after a 38 year career; he also served on the Wickliffe Board of Education for 16 years. Kevin married Sheila Edwards on May 26, 1962; they raised their family in Wickliffe for 38 years. He enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's school, musical, and athletic activities. He was a parishioner at OLMC in Wickliffe followed by St. Mary's parish in Mentor.

Kevin was a handyman and always there to lend a helping hand. He was a woodworker who enjoyed building clocks for his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his young family across the country, and in his later years loved traveling to Europe, especially Varenna, Italy, by Lake Como. He was the consummate good neighbor and will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday March 13, 2107 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Please meet at the church.

The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
