Kenneth J. "Ken" Allan, age 71 of Lakewood, died Sunday July 29, 2018 at Fairview General Hospital, Cleveland, OH. He was born July 26, 1947.

Mr. Allan worked in customer service at Classic Lexus. Prior to that he owned and operated an Office cleaning service for 25 years.

Ken was a US Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Allan had professional training in voice classes from Cleveland Music School Settlement, and acting classes from American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York, NY. Past performances include dramatic, comedy and musical roles.

He performed in live theatre throughout Greater Cleveland for over 30 years, at these venues; Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Chagrin Falls, OH, Cain Park, Cleveland Heights, OH, Aurora, Solon, Beachwood, Willoughby, Lakewood and Cleveland. He had performed with the Cleveland Opera at the State Theatre in Cleveland, OH.

A few of his performances include: Lakewood's Beck Center, he was Sir Watkin Basset in By Jeeves, October of 2004, Clague Playhouse, Westlake, OH, he was Bill Madden in "Tainted Justice", October 2012 and Chagrin Valley Little Theatre he was Big Julie in a Tribute Performance of "Guys and Dolls".

Ken directed two productions - "Niagara on the Lake", home of the Shaw Festival and "The Penny", Ensemble Theatre, Cleveland Heights, OH.

A celebration of Ken's life will be 12 - 2 pm Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH. 44060.
