John Neibecker, 67, of Mentor, passed away July 3, 2018 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born December 30, 1950 in Cleveland.

John attended St. Joseph High School in Euclid and Ohio University. He married the love of his life Kathi (Preseren) on May 18, 1974. John worked in the car business as a finance manager for 40 years, making many friends along the way. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and always put them first. His family will miss all the love and joy he provided. He was also a great friend and will be remembered fondly by all those who knew him.

Survivors are his wife, Kathi Neibecker; children, Brent (Jaclyn), Mike (Heather) and Ryan (Cristen) Neibecker; grandchildren, Derek, Alexis, Owen, Chase, J.J., Nicholas, and Hailey; father, John Neibecker; sisters, Angela (Michael) Fabian, and Ro (Hal) Wilson; brothers, Michael (Connie), Tom (Mary), and Robert (Mary) Neibecker; sister in law, Sharon (Pete) Vuyancih; and brothers in law, Robert (Cyndy) Preseren, Michael (Melodie) Preseren, Paul Preseren, and Mark Kaufman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Neibecker.

The family of John wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of Western Reserve, especially his aide John and primary nurse Lisa.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

A funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at St. John Vianney Church 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH 44060 (Please meet at the church.)

Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
