Gail (Hodgins) Lucker, 84, a longtime Lake County resident, passed away March 5, 2018 at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late Reginald and Marion Hodgins of Mentor, Ohio and was born September 19, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois.

Gail graduated from the University of Rochester. She spent several years teaching school in Rochester, NY and in the Cleveland area. When her family ultimately moved to Painesville, Gail became active in many community organizations and activities. She was one of the founders of the Lake County Special Transportation Services which later merged to become part of Laketran. Gail was a member of the Western Reserve Junior Service League, and Friends of Morley Library where she served on the board. She also was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a board member with Lake County Family Planning and an investigator for the Lake County Probate Court.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. J. Donald Lucker; children, Scott (Lucy) Lucker, Craig, Andrew and Stuart Lucker; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Adam) McDonald, and John Lucker; and her great grandchild, Everleigh.

The family will receive friends to celebrate Gail's life from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
Private family inurnment will be held at Mentor Cemetery.
