Claude A. Powali, 76 of Willowick passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Hospice House, Cleveland. He was born April 19, 1941 in Cleveland.

Claude was U.S. Navy Veteran and served aboard the USS Oriskany. He retired from Lincoln Electric, Euclid plant, was a Past Commodore of the North East Yacht Club and Past President of District 7 International Order of Blue Gavel. Claude was a life member of the Eastlake VFW Post 3863 and member of the American Legion Post 678 in Willowick. His passion was boating and he loved the water. Gardening and tinkering with just about anything was among his other hobbies.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean (Badza) Powali; children, Tina Powali and Theresa (Todd Geiger, deceased) Powali; grandchildren, Madison and Andrew Geiger; twin brother, Clifford E. (Rini) Powali; sisters, Edwina Seifried and Dorothy (Fred, deceased) Mastrangelo and many other loving family members.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Edwin Powali and Johanna (Suhadolnik) Powali-Lescar, step-father, Anthony "Tony" Lescar; father-in-law: Bob (Mitzi) Badza and mother-in-law, Josephine (Chuck) Starkey.

Private family services were held.
