Bonne Phyllis (Bage) Oliverio passed into the hands of the Lord on February 20, 2017, at 72 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Phyllis (Sollenberger) and Martin Bage. She is survived by her sister Barbara (Bage) Breneman (Charlie) and brother Steve (Marie). She is also survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph and their two children Dr. Julie (Oliverio) Callum (Michael) and Paul Oliverio (Monica) and five grandchildren: Amanda and Adam Callum; Dominic, Alexandra and Evan Oliverio as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bonne attended the Ohio State University, Hiram College, and Lake Erie College. She first worked at Highland View Hospital as a technician for a Cardiology and Respiratory specialist. There she met her husband while rehabilitating her knee at the Physical Therapy Department. While raising two children she became a volunteer for the Free Clinic in 1975, later serving as Board Member, President of the Board, and Director in 1984. As the medical portion of the Free Clinic branched out on its own in 1984, she played a significant role in increasing the awareness of the public to the overall medical services provided. Under her direction many individuals and families experiencing hardships were tremendously assisted through the Lake County Free Clinic, exemplifying her concern for others.

Several years later she was employed by the United Way of Lake County as the Director of Information and Referral Services. She was honored to serve as the first female president of the Lake County Kiwanis Club and was a member of Leadership Lake County. While at the United Way she was instrumental in developing the Suicide Prevention and the AIDS task forces. Bonne shared her beautiful voice with us through The Common Bond and its' performances. She later put those stage talents to use with the WRJSL's annual Red Stocking Review.

She enjoyed playing Bocce and assisting The Helping Hands committee at St. Bede's Catholic Church. Her favorite activities included cooking for families and friends and vacationing on Sanibel Island.

The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 27th, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.

In memory of Bonne, contributions may be made to the Lake County Free Medical Clinic, 54 South State Street, Suite 302, Painesville, OH 44077 and St. Bede's Helping Hands Fund, 9114 Lake Shore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
