Tribute & Message From The Family

In memory and honor of Billy "Bill" Ray Stover - a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and proud veteran. Born in Long Branch, WVA on April 7, 1938, Bill lived a full and satisfying life. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne) stationed both stateside and in South Korea.

He was happily married to May Lee for 56 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 children - Billy (Tera), Carmen Worthington, and Tony (Stacey), 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister June, step-father Blaine Spotts and nephews and nieces.

Bill enthusiastically supported and worked for various AERO space companies during Skylab, Apollo and Space Shuttle Program eras at KSC, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed scuba diving, traveling and fishing as well as tinkering with cars and remodeling homes. Following his retirement, Bill and May became full-time RV'ers for 23 years, traveling to 49 of the 50 states. Through these journeys, they developed lasting friendships and a true love and appreciation of our country.

Throughout his life, Bill was a man of integrity and firmly believed there were right and wrongs ways to accomplish things in life as those who knew him well can attest. Most of all, Bill was a loving husband and father who provided and cared for his family. He "walked the talk" by always exemplifying to his family how to be a hardworking, respectful man. He was able to share some of his experiences and travels with his grandchildren who will fondly remember spending quality time with him. Bill passed away on July 31, 2018 surrounded by love at Tony and Stacey's home in Kentucky. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Mary Spotts, his father Dewey and older brother Gene, and is now reunited with them.

A graveside service was held on Friday August 3, 2018 at Kirtland South Cemetery, Kirtland, OH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 5, 4615 Fegenbush Ln., Louisville, KY 40228.

Although his passing saddens us, he will remain in our hearts and will always be a loving memory that brings comforting smiles to our lives. With Love and God's Blessing, rest in peace.
